Rear clunk? Maybe time to do the RB bar with clunk fix and shiny new endlinks.

I'm planning all of that - this build just keeps getting more expensive, haha.

And you're sure it's a suspension clunk? I guess inspecting the rear sway bushings would be the first thing to check since you just jack up the car and oh hey there they are

90% sure. I can get it to clunk if I grab the roofrack and rock the car on its roll axis. Sounds like it's coming from under the car, so I don't think it's anything inside. Doesn't clunk if i pump the hatch up and down though.

Everything seems tight and bushings look good. Exhaust isn't hitting anything...

I was thinking about a rear bar but hoping to do it later. Probably won't go AXR cuz I don't believe in poly bushings unless they're all poly.

Hmm, care to elaborate? I've heard nothing but good things about AXR's miracle fix, haha.

Oh, and if you decide to do a rear bar, check out the Toronto Protege club. Theres a group buy for hardrace endlinks, dirt cheap, like $55 for a set of 4.

Ok--here's my view: at the onset of roll, with rubber bushings up front and poly in the rear, the front bushings compress to counteract the roll, while the rear poly bushings transfer the burden to the swaybar. So at low roll angles, different mechanisms are at work to resist roll front and rear. Then, as the roll angle increases, the front bushings compress and the burden goes to the swaybars front and rear. This transition between roll resistance mechanisms may result in less predictable handling. It might be minor, but that's my thinking on it.
