Install

How hard is it to install lowering springs? How long dose it take?

its not too bad as long as you have access to a spring compressor. without that, you might as well not even try. it is a few hour process if you have never done it before. its not too bad. there is a how-to on ground control coilovers in the how-to section of the forum. the install is basically the same as installing springs. check it out, you may find it really helpful. it has a list of tools needed, and pics, and a step by step breakdown of the process. later

I knew a guy who spent about five days in the hospital after getting hit in the chest with a spring.

Dumbass just leaned over the thing, and undid the bolt that held everything together.

i did mine without a spring compressor.. yeah it is scary when that things shoots off into the darkness tho. LoL

Just did it yesterday. 6 hours installing the spool springs.
3 hours in the day time, 3 hours during the night.
It sucks even with a spring compressor.

i know you need the spring compressor to remove the stock springs but do you need the compressor to install the new springs?

I did. It was very close and maybe if you had another person to help you push down on the spring to get the cap and nut on but I
still used the compr.
