i got my SPRINGS!!!!!!

sorry for screaming, but they are finally here! well actually, i just ordered them last thursday from adventon.com and they arrived today. would have arrived monday, but it was Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. great shop to deal with... really friendly and really helpful. i got the springs delivered for $199 and some change. i'm taking it to ultraperformance here in town to get them installed on friday. gosh, it's going to be a long week...

so yeah, after getting my car back from the shop for a week, she's getting a makeover! i'll post before and after pics when i can. heck, i might even get some pre-accident and post-accident pics up.

if anyone is interested in getting these springs, look up adventon.com. ask for george. tell him truc sent you. he also has the injen for $225 shipped. sorry for the plug, but these guys are really cheap and really good to deal with.

ok, i'm gonna go look at the springs again. they are pretty. should i stick eibach stickers on my car? hahahahaha... just kidding.

tonka.

i just had a guy put them on today. the mechanic only took an hour and eighteen minutes. that has got to be a record, especially considering it took him a while longer because of the rear hatch (as well as him cracking an aluminum socket and then having to find another one). 78 minutes... whoa.

the ride is almost comparable to the stock springs, but with two very dramatic differences: no heavy diving during braking like with the old springs and extremely flat cornering. now i need better seats to hold me in. the drop is not severe, and since i'm too poor to get some 17"s on there, it's gonna sit on the stock rims for now. or forever. but it sure makes the car look more aggressive. some guy in a type-r tried to race me, but i passed.

anyway, if anyone is in southern california, adventon sells the pro kit for $171 and change. with tax it comes to be about $185. luckily, they are located near my girlfriend's family business, so next time we're there for a visit, i'm hitting them up for some more stuff. i'll post pics in the morning if i can find my digicam.

Sorry about that. I have the link saved somewhere. I will post soon if anyone is interested. I saw another post where someone was getting them for cheaper than that.

tonkabuy, thanks for the purchasing info! I haven't seen that pro kit anywhere for less than $240 until now.

I guess they went up. About a month ago they were $195 shipped. Anyway, $209 is still a very good price when they usually go for $240.

Also, buyer beware that Adventon has some small print that says the parts *might* be used. Probably doesn't happen often, but I'd rather be damn positive I'm getting a new part!

Me? I'm going with the SPOOL lowering springs. $199, 2" even drop, no noise, great reviews from other buyers...
