Cool Getto low...way to go?

I'm almost embarrassed to ask this. My brother gave me a set of these things.

He says it's a cheap way to lower my car. It seems pretty damn getto. Is it a bad idea? Will it damage the stock struts, springs? I won't be able to afford real springs for a while. What do you guys think?

HAHAHAHAHAHA

i had those on a my old car and they make the ride rough. To tell you the truth they are way getto but they do work and i had they for 2 years on my old car and nothing ever happened but you have to keep an eye on the nuts so they dont get to loose so i would check them every oil cange.

How did you make sure they were all even. I figure I'll measure the wheel well.

what i did was put two per spring and i just clamped both sides of the spring. just make sure that you clamp the same coil all the way around and you should be fine.

Actually, I'm an old man, but tell me why you think that. It seems to me to be very unstable.

It will be very unstable. That is basically like driving around with those cheap Wal Mart spring compressors still connected to your suspension. It will provide unequal tension on the coils, and risk bending or breaking the spring itself, and if this happens at speed you will most likely wreck + destroy your entire suspension at that particular corner. I would bet that with a large bump at least one of those would break off as well...

Thankx for all the good advice!
That's what I thought. It would look cool, but damn I'd be pissed if I fucked up my ride. I'm going to take them back to the store and get a red oil filler cap. That should add at least 5 whp, right?
