Frustrated with crappy endlinks
I replaced my swaybar links a couple years ago (Around 60,000 km) on my 99 Protege SE, as they had developed slop and were rattling. The Mazda folks said that the polymer inserts didn't like the cold weather here in Canada, and that the new links should be much better.
Needless to say, I just had one of the rear links fail completely (the polymer insert came out of the metal cup) and was beating about under the car making various rattly and clunking noises. I pulled it off on the other end, so now I'm running effectively with no rear swaybar...
Anyway, I want to replace the links with something other than the OEM POS which is obviously not up to the task. Last time around it cost me something like $90 for a pair. Is there an aftermarket end link which isn't made as cheaply which will last, without slop, and be nice and quiet?
Thanks in advance,
-Greg
