Front Upper Strut Tower Bar

Question
The OEM strut tower bar is one piece. Some aftermarket units are three piece, with a pivot just inside of the strut tower. Is one better than the other? Also, there is also one available from arospeed.com.

If the "pivoting" strut bar + a pivoting sway bar are installed, isn't that like the trapezoid rear suspension Mazda techno-babbles about?
