Ford Probe GT's KYB struts on P5s
I need some expert advice on similarities between a Ford Probe GT's struts and a P5's. These things are told to be pretty good and are like $50 each.
I searched and found nothing, and the FAQ does not contain much either. I called Tire Rack and the dude told me they would fit. he said the dimensions are the same. I asked him about the mounting of the swaybars and he said he knew nothing about that, so in other words he does not know if they would fit. I owned a 93 probe GT before my P5, and the struts did have something to mount the swaybar on. On GT's the swaybar connected to the control arm, rather than the strut, and used the tab on the strut to feed the brake line to the caliper safely. I trust Tire Rack mostly, but I was told certain offsets of wheels would fit, that wouln't, and I don't want to buy struts thinking they would fit, that won't...
The reason I am doing this is to save some money. Anyone know if KYB GS 2 struts are available anywhere else or something in that price range for 3rd gen's? I am not ready to drop $100+ for struts after the springs and wheels and tires.
Any help would be great

Looking at these pictures, I don't think the Probe struts will fit. Maybe in the fronts but definitely not in the back.

Yeah I called tire rack back today....
A different guy told me that I would need a welder and a person willing to get that much heat near a gas pressurized shock. The front do have tabs for the swaybar but the rear ones don't and would need to be a custom install. He said he would look for any other mazdas that have similar rear struts and leave me a message at home. I will let you guys know what happens
