ZACKY, you're not understanding. Rubbing only has to do with the offset of the wheel.

You can run 19's on it with the right offset and tire. I can show you pictures of mine if you give me your e-mail. You can see exactly what 18's will look like with HR's.

All we need to do now is figure out your budget and if you're concerned about wheel weight. I'm always concerned about weight, cause the lighter the longer everything will last.

Thanks, Rishie

The rubbing has nothing to do with the springs bro. Buy whatever ones you want. The wheels are a separate issue.

Rishie,

How much do you think the subzero in 18's are going to be? Isn't it a 18 lb. wheel? correct me if i'm wrong.
thanks!

I initially only rubbed by about 3mm on one side, the bad one. Now I only rub by 1mm. That's all the clearance required, but I'd rather get perfect wheels rather than shave or roll.

SSR GT1's for sale, rims only $1500.00 shipped. I can do tires on these if you're interested. I'm in no hurry, but it'd be nice to just pick up some Volks in the right size. These wheels are Semi solid forged and weigh in at 17.5 lbs/wheel.

Perfect for the Sedan versions and if you rolled fenders on Protege5, they will fit fine.

Yeah, they are like 18lbs., cause the 17 is only 16.5 lbs.

Wuppy, I get the 17" Subzeros in a couple weeks. I'm getting that and the tarmac.

I'm not sure what colors are coming in, I think all the colors. This will be awesome.

This is great fitment for a Sedan to want to run a 225/40 or such. If I had a sedan I'd run a 215/40/17 even though it's undersized a little it will increase acceleration and such and fit beautifully.

Thanks, Rishie
