Unhappy crashed my car no steering

hey ,
ok i was trying to turn into this bank parking lot the other night when it was snowing really bad and i slid and went over a curb, so now my driver side wheel is pushed back far enough that it dented my fender and i have no steering what so ever, has this happened to anyone else? what i mostly want to know is around how much it would cost to fix, i know not every accident is the same so the price wouldn't be 100% accurate but i'm just looking for a genral price, $1000? more?... less? any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks
peace

Ouch! You'll probably need a 'tear-down' in order to realize the full extent of your damage.

okay dude, this exact same thing happened to me just a couple weeks ago it sucks...BAD, expect to pay at least 4000 dollars, it cost me 4600 and about 2 and a half weeks but i finally got her back. I hope you didnt do as much damage as me but it sounds exactly like what my wheel did it got pushed right into the fender as well, bent the lower control arm snapped the struts bent the sub frame, cracked the rack and pinion steering...yah im not gonna go on bad memories. but i had no tread on my tires and slid into a curb at like 20 or 30 at most. it sucked, you probably didnt hit it as hard as me though so maybe itll be less dunno, i hope u dont get screwed over like i did, at least urs wasnt all ur fault mine was my own ignorance for not replacing tires. but i wish the best for you, i hope you dont wind up screwed over with a 4600 dollar bill for repairs.

just a question because I am not familiar with your insurance system, doesn't your insurance cover damage caused by you - i.e. just paying your deductible? I know when I purchased and insured my car (2004 Mazda 3) I purchased replacement insurance (insurance corporation of B.C. - crown corp.) and should anything happen to my car within the first year, I will receive a new one. can you go through your insurance?

if all he has is liability then no, that only covers other drivers, and in some cases your insurance can get so high for something like this that its almost worth it to pay for the damamges urself, im 17 and i already bay 250 a month to insure my little sedan if i didnt have hte monye ot repair my car myself the insurance wouldve done it then charged me another 100 or more a month til im 25.

/\ wut he said i could go through my insurance cuz i have full coverage but i have to pay insurance for 2 cars so and i didn't want my rates to go up so i'm gonna see how much it costs and if i can just do it then i will......Insurance companies suck you pay them a million dollars a month and then if you get into an accident they either raise your rates or drop you when its time to renew

yah welcoem to my world, the rack and pinion steering is goign to hit you up for probably about 800 for a new OEM part, mine was about that, u probably need new contorl arm, thats another 100, the wheels if they are cracked 100 each for refurbished (if u got the 15 steel alloy rims, not the hubbies), i hope the best for u man, dont expect cheapness cause htis sounds exactly liek my accident. But hey if u move to az we can hang out sometime im in northwest phoenix/peoria and i can show the curb that i smashed into, i really wish i wouldve done more damage to that stupid concrete pos for the amount of damage it inflicted on my baby lol.

i dunno if u guys get a lot of ricer civics out there but ur gonna laugh ur asses off when u get here, everywhere even NEAR downtown phoenix is flooded with the classic raspy exhaut whine from a civic or integra, and they are ALL easy pickins, none of them put up even a half way decent race i let an integra get a head start and sped up onto his butt and just sat there letting on and off the gas without losing any distance while he was flooring it for about 1/8 a mile, so if u like racing at all lol ur gonna have a hey day.
