will the coilovers from a 96 pro work on a 00 pro?

 

If by coil-overs you mean the sleeves that slip over the stock or aftermarket struts, they might. It depends on whether the strut tubes are the same in diameter and approximately the same height. The suspension on the 2nd gen Protege is close enough to the 3rd gen that they may fit. I think I recall Bruce or someone saying that the same part number was listed for some brand of coil-overs for more than one generation of Protege. I'd try to find someone who has done it before buying the coil-overs though.
