Exclamation Coilovers for $250

This guy in my class at school said that his friend was a distributor for some suspention company ( he didn't know who ) and said that he was able to get shocks for wholesale...
So he looked around and found some coilovers (spring/strut) compelete set for only $250 (wholesale i assume)
All he knew was that his friend used them on his WRX rally race car and they came in red or yellow while polished springs.....He said he would find out the manufacturer today...
Do you think I should get them, does anyone have any idea what they may be?

Some better info on the coilovers would be nice.

Knowing that the coilovers fit a WRX doesn't do diddly-squat for us.

I think what redrims meant was that it might not fit on your car. Maybe? I would seriously take a look at the coilovers first, find out what brand they are, then go on ebay or the official website and figure out the true price. Then decide from there. I'm sure you don't want to waste your money buying a poor product, no matter how cheap it is.

i see your point about how good they are, but what I'm trying to say is that it doesn't mean that they make coilovers for our cars (proteges) also. Until you find out what type of coilovers they are and call the company to see if they do make them, you are still at step one.

A WRX weighs over 3000lbs and therefore springs designed for a WRX will be too stiff for a protege.
