brake upgrade

does anybody know if there is an company that makes and big brake kit for mp5? i can find kits just for the front but i want 13" rotors all the way around the car with 4 piston calipers

Don't buy the brembo big brake kit unless you have much larger than stock rims. Even then, check the fitment carefully.

has a big brake kit that is supposed to fit behind stock rims, but I don't have personal experience with them.

I sell upgraded brembo rotors in stock sizes that work very well. Unless you just want the look of a big brake kit there will really be no advantage going that large or spending that much money.

what can i use to strip the old engine paint of the calipers so that i can brush on my new caliper paint?

have them bead blasted after disassembling them...or get some junk yard ones...or prime and paint

Yeah, I too have been thinking about getting some Brembo drilled & vented rotors, along with a good set of ceramic pads, before next summer. The stock brakes work well enough on the street, but I am guessing that I will need better thermal performance and increased resistance to fade when I take the car racing next summer.

www.precisionbrakescompany.com sells big brake kits for all protege models, front and rear. i have a front kit for my 99 lx, its great, ask for a guy named bill or jonas if you call they'll help you out, prices are about 1200 bucks for 4 piston calipers 13 in rotors all hardware etc, all willwood components.
