Here's my opinion dude. You have an MP3 which is already pretty low and plus the Racing Beats are already good enough. If you switch to a different set it will alter the roll and vehicle dynamics of your car which may make it handle worse perhaps. And besides Racing Beat designed those springs specifically for your car, if I were you those would be th last things I would consider changing. $350 on a 7500K HID kit is a steal. I wanted to get mine a 5000K HID kit that uses Phillips ballasters to $800 CAN and still I think its the best deal you can get. I may be wrong. I however think that 7500k would be too blue, not purple but blue, it looks just like fake ricer blue bulbs which are brighter. The brightest HIDs are the pure white kind at a color temperature of 4300K. After 4300k they turn to a more purplish blue hue and light output dramactically decreases. In other words, all show, and spending that money on show lights is pretty steep. The highest color temperature I would consider are 5500K. Cool looking but also bright. I don't think Phillips makes a 7500K bulb, the highest they have are 6000K. In additional Phillips does not make retrofits kits, the kit you are consdering has Phillips ballasters at most. And a 7500K bulb will turn you into a cop magnet for sure. So you may want to get a lower colour temperature bulb. Hope, I helped you out in your decision.

thanks man...he said that they were the 7500's...i didn't know that they didn't make that color....and the 7500's will be very blue...hmm i wan the blue but not that faake blue look...u knoiw like u said they are allways on the ricey cars....i odnt want that..so i guess i am gonna have to go lower ...espescially since they DONT MAKE THE 7500....thanks for ur input....i have until i like 3 days to decide...u are right...lets see

SPrings:
u are definatley right about racing beat tuning those spring to my car but i need to go lower at least another inch...and all those other spring companies go from the stock factory ride hieght..my car is already dropped it hink almost an inch more than tha stock....dont quote me on that though...and all the other spring companies have like a 1-1.3 inch drop....in my opinion it is not worth the money to drop not even a half inch on my car.....anyone have any input on this?????

200 bucks for .2 to .5 more inches won't really be worth it , to be honest with ya , reason being is that they measure the amount of drop from the factory height of the car, so if the RB;s are like 1.3 and the springs you want are like 1.8 then that is only a .5 difference , know if we could get a 1.0 difference then that would be hot.. but due to the protege having really short suspension travel , they will only lower the car by the amounts that you see in catologs. 1.2 and 1.3 and such ...
best of luck to ya in your decisions though

Easy decision for me (but I can't vote, as you didn't give us a third option) - I wouldn't pay $50 for either one.

Definitely not the HID. How many people pull up to a car and say "Oh man nice headlights" I think getting the car lowered one way or another would be a better buy. Just get better bulbs off ebay for like 30 bucks.

I would vote you spend your cash on something else entirely.

If you change your springs, your going to upset the great job that Mazda did on the MP3 suspension.

I wouldnt buy a HID kit unless you read this first:

http://lighting.mbz.org/tech/info/bulbs/HID/

How about you save the $350 and but it toward a set of 18" wheels From ARD...

I say leave the suspension as it is, or get the AWR coilovers.....

Take the 350$, put it in the bank, wait for the Callaway turbo to come out, and try and save up enough to get it. Or get a nice tint done.
Or if you absolutely want to upgrade one of those two things, get some nice bulbs off e-bay or your local ricer store, they got them pretty cheap, less then 40$ for them, and they look pretty nice.

Only other thing you could really do is get a set of coilover conversion collars to put on your factory struts. They necessitate removing the stock spring perches on your strut housings but will allow you to adjust the ride height and still maintain the racing beat strut cartridges and springs. If you go any lower though you might want to get a bump steer correction kit. This will lower your steering rack to keep the suspension geometry correct. If you lower it another 1.5" without it, you may find your car wanting to pull to one side or the other when you hit bumps with one wheel.
