no single mod is going to make your ride a hot performer. Start planning what you'd like your car to be when you're done....work towards that goal.
The basic mods would be an intake (your preference), FULL exhaust (header, loss of cats, catback), and computer.
Once these are done you'll notice an overall gain in power and should be what you're looking for.

Prime, I'd like to make my car turbo but in the far future-$ def wanna get the wagner motorsports turbo they seem respectable heh....anyways what would i need to set up for that compared to na? i know the intake would be different but ima put that on anyhow caz i can get rid of that once and if i get my turbo but what else lead me to the light oh great one haha

the only mod you'd be able to make that wouldn't be a waste would be a cat-back exhaust.....intake, cams, header would all be turbo specific.
I guess you could get some engine management like the AEM....it will run a NA map that should be nice for you....then with a turbo you can just swap maps and be REALLY set!

To see the full gains of the turbo, you'd even be better off waiting on the exhaust from everything I've seen/read on forced induction. FI seems to like zero backpressure systems, meaning no cats and 2.5" pipes, while for a NA car, you're gonna have a major loss of low end torque with that setup. Best plan, suck it up, drive it stock until the $ is all saved up, then do it right! At the least, save up for the turbo kit, put that on first, then upgrade the smaller stuff and reap the benefits!

I disagree....most problems arise from people throwing a turbo on their car without the proper set-up first....I would start with the fuel system....make sure it's up to par, then get into the EMS....That will make a power and driveability gain even on a NA car....THEN go to a turbo, your insurance mods are already done and just waiting for the boost!
Other than that I agree with you.

Very true about the fuel system! I generally lump that into the FI kit, because I feel its a given that it MUST be adressed at the time of installation. As far as EMS, I kinda forgot about that, but you're right that it would benefit the NA as well, and with the free calibrations on the AEM tuner it would be smarter to get it first.

yeah, I always list fuel seperate because very few turbo kits come with the needed fuel pumps, filters, regulators etc...
I know it sounds like I'm plugging, but I'm so impressed with what I've seen with the AEM....those curves are as flat and smooth as I've ever seen on a car....just look at the AF ratios....it puts factory tuning (and even other tuners ahem ahem) to shame!!
