window tint

I drive a yellow prr5 and want to get my windows tinted. Any input about the type of tint (darkness, color, or mirror) would be nice. If anyone has pictures of a yellow pr5 with any type of tint, please post the pics or a link.

I really want to go with a five percent tint, a yellow tint or a straight mirrot tint (as opposed to the progressive mirror tint). Again, if anyone has pictures of a pr5 with a cool tint job, please post a pic or a link to the pic.

I have a 50% RayBan tint. 35% might have been a bit nicer, but I am quite satisfied. DO IT, you wont regret getting a tint. It looks great, plus protects your interior and you dont have to dim your rearview mirror at night anymore

Word to the wise: Check your local laws on tint regulations. I know here we can't do the front windows (driver and passanger windows). There may also be rules on the darkness of the tint you are allowed to apply.

I second the comments from the others. I have my back 3/4 tinted and I love it. Immediatly makes these cars look much better!

Good luck

^^^ true dat.
we're 35% legal for cars, no front windshield.
trucks and suvs can go down to 20% on all other windows except driver passenger (no lower than 35%)

I have 20% on all the windows (except the windshield, of course).

IMHO, it provides the best compromise of function and safety. It's dark enough to look good, help keep the car a little cooler, and keep prying eyes off my interior (especially at night), but light enough to allow me to see safely through them in darkness.

Those pics were on a cloudy day, making the tint look a little darker.

If you get 5%, you'll regret it. It's very hard to see at night, and it's dangerous.

I hate mirror tint. It's trendy, and basically looks cheesy, IMHO. A nice black tint is always in style. Always.

My tint is illegal in NY state, but this is a fairly unenforced law around here. I've had my tint for almost 2 years without so much as a second look from a cop.

I agree with HiHosilva.. I also have 20% and I'm loving it. Although, my state's (FL) law is 28% front windows, 16% rears, I decided to do 20% all around. On a really sunny day, it doesn't really look illegal.. and on a dark day it gets pretty dark. My tint is a metallic based tint.. and I paid $110 for all the windows and sunroof. The tint is made by LLumar and it's their ATR series.

20% on front doors, 5% on the rest... blocks out everything from outside looking in, easy to see out of....although a little hard to back at night
