Window installation
As some of you may have already found out, I had an act of vandalism done to my car a couple days ago. Some smartass thought it would be a good idea to key the hell out of my driver side window, so I have to get it replaced because it's cheaper than my $500 deductible.
Anyway, I found a window at a junkyard for $50, and I just wanna know if anyone's ever tried puttin one of these suckers in by themselves. A body shop I took my car to before when I damaged my door said they could put it in for an additional $50, which isn't bad for a potential couple of hours. But I wanna know if the windows on the P5 are a simple bolt on installation, cuz I'm pretty sure I could do that with my dad's and brother's help. BTW, it's the front driver side window on a Protege5, just in case I didn't clarify that ...
Input is appreciated, thanks as always!!!

it's easy. roll the window halfway down, take off the door panel, take down the plastic rain guard, and unbolt the 2 bolts that hold the window in, and remove the old window......reassemble in reverse order

Awesome, my brother said the same thing, so it's gotta be true. Thanks Mac, you're as helpful as always, you need a raise or somethin ... if you were to get paid for this kinda work.

Interesting fact I found out today about our cars ...
I took it to a shop that specializes in glass just to make sure that the gashes couldn't be buffed out. I also thought that they were a result of a key, but when I pulled up and had one of the guys look at it, he claimed it was a hammer!!! I guess our windows are pretty mean **** cuz you have to hit them pretty hard head on to break them, otherwise the hammer or whatever he was using will just bounce off and leave a nice little gash in the glass.
So I guess he was actually trying to break into my car instead of just vandalizing it, which makes sense because if he wanted to screw it up then he probably would've done other windows and paint, rims, carbon fiber, etc. Makes no sense to me though cuz there's nothing he can take other than a radar detector, and maybe the stock deck if he has the little tool for it. Just thought I'd share that our cars are pretty break-in proof.
