Anyone see the "Wind Split" accessory on the MazdaUSA site for the P5 accessories?

What?!? Are you refering to the splitter that is attached to the lower bumper on the MP3 and the 2003 (not 2003.5) Mazdaspeed? If you are, it is not listed in the accessory brochure. You will need to do a search to get the part number and order it as a regular part.

Wind Split

Improves under-chassis aerodynamics.

Wind Split
Black Molded Plastic
0000-8Y-C07 $85.00

Sounds like the front splitter.

I have a question about this. If you install the wind splitter, can you still use the bra? Doe sit fit over the splitter?

Thanks

If you put a bra over the splitter, the splitter will no longer be useful.

Assuming it does anything in the first place...

that thing is so thin and our car sits too high that it will not do anything but just give you that look.

you need to get something like a DGMotorsports lip spoiler
and lower your car before you can get any benefit.

i was wondering about that, too. So unless the car is lowered (how low?) it does nothing?

Screw the "Undercar Aerodynamics." It looks like it my be pretty good at taking the beating if you pull up to far to a high curb or the cement wheel stops.

Ideas?

I swear that with $10 worth of black lexan or plexi I could make that stupid thing in about a half hour.

$85 is outrageous for nothing more than a piece of plastic.

Hmmm...maybe I WILL make myself one....

You could make it easy if your bumper was flat on the bottom, but it's not
Plus the ends flare up a little so that it doesn't look like a piece of lexan
