guys . . . they're not fog lights, they're driving lights! Their sole purpose is to help light up the road immediately in front of and to the side of the car.
uuh...actually fog lights are supposed to illuminate immediately in front and to the side of the car. driving lights illuminate much further down the road.
here are some links to hella's web site.

their beam illuminates a useless area in front of the car, almost nothing to the side and put out very little light. in fact when i turn them on in real fog i found them to make the glare and visibility worse.
i have used hella fog lights in the past and they are great. i might just try to find a set of hellas to replace the stockers.
anyone esle notice this? have you found a suitable replacement?
i am talking about the fog lights on my P5
Tom, I was thinking the same thing driving home the other day from work. I gets really foggy out here on the coast and the lights sucked for me! I'm gonna have to get down there and re-direction them.

i pulled my fogs out, bent the metal cover up, put in 100Watt bulbs in and they are great. I rewired them in about 5 min, they come on with the parking lights now but still go off the the brights, kinda like dodges do.

How much did you pay for these bulbs. I think piaa's are overpriced a little to much. I had a pair for 3 months and liked them. But after one blew i changed to all weather bulbs.

For my p5 i bought Philips All-Weather 55W H3's and they project the same color light as good as the PIAA's in my view. Plus you can buy two bulbs for half the price of the piaa's i bought. I bought my piaa's for 45 bucks a pair and got the philips for $20.

they were 4.99 a piece, you can buy them at walmart, autozone and pepboys, they are the same color as the stock headlights so if you changed you bulbs in your headlights, they wouldn't be a good choice. I think they were GE

Thumbs up Fog Lights

There is a direct replacemant PIAA ligths out there, they are Piaa 5462 Extreme White driving lights. You can ask for Ion (yellow) if they are available.
I assure you won't have any complains with this lights, except for the price. Good luck

walight01, im not sure if you are talking about the US all weather bulbs or not. I got my all weather bulbs from Europe, UK version bulb. I dont think they are like the ones in the US, they are distinctly yellow... and are made by Philips.

go to philips uk website for more info on the bulb.

I ordered them from www.autolamps-online.com for 20 bucks, including free shipping worldwide. They are cheaper and i think they were worth the 20 bucks i spent on them.
