the 2.0L FS engine is a mild evolution of the engine found in the base model probe and mx6. it's a mazda part, but ford borrowed it for a while.
i'm sure everyone knows this already though.

actually the shifter is a ford part...same as the one found in an escort zx-2...look up the part# if you dont believe me

Isn't that a mazda part in a ford car....?

I don't know why Mazda ethusiasts want to bash on Ford...they are majority owners of Mazda and lots of Fords and Mazda's share parts...every new Ford and mazda with a 4 banger is suposed to be using the new 2.(3?)L engine mazda is making

Well the last time I checked the ECU it had a big FORD symbol on it. If you dont believe me, look behind all the plastic pieces on the passenger side where the ECU is at. If im wrong let me know so I wont feel like I own 2 Fords instead of one.
