3qts fills it. i did mine with 3 qts of redline mt-90 and it did the same thing. if you stick your finger in the filler hole it should coat the bottom of it (level should be right up to the bottom of the hole).

Gator, did you have the car on an incline? Because the case, being level, will hold a little less then the 3 quarts. If it's on an incline, you can dump 3 quarts in and it won't dump any out.

yea i didnt think about that. sorry so it's all good. it seems easier to get it into gear now. yea i used royal purple too. the specs for it says like 2.9qt i think it is. the gear oil is purple...surprise since its usually a red color, but royal purple= purple...guess it makes sense

quick question. inside the little felt case that the tire iron is in, there is a long bolt, maybe 5 in or so. does anyone else have one of these in theirs? if so what is it for? the car jack? it looks like it could be another bolt for the front mount, but i doubt it. just curious, i have a floor jack b/c i hate the jack that cars come w/

You use that bolt to bolt down the regular tire and rime in the tire well ,the one that holds the donut in the well is to short
