What have you done to your 3rd Gen today?

I'm thinking about washing and doing a double coat of wax for winter prep this weekend, before my apartment complex turns off the water at the carwash station, as they do every winter. Not looking forward to 3 months of black rims, road grime, and CaCl[sub]2[/sub] deposits.

I'm working on it. If I buy a new egr valve, you better bet it'll be this new one unless it's 300 dollars or something.
No pics yet, no one has even gotten it installed, just people at a canadian dealership looked over the tsb.
But yeah now it's a stepper motor with vacuum assist and a coolant passage to keep the temps reasonable. Adding a coolant passage to anything works well for me with the engine block heater

I can count on one hand how many times I have seen snow in my entire life here.
Its supposed to be mid-70s today. I feel for you guys from up north. Be careful.
On topic, Im about to clay the car before it does start getting cold(er) here. Take 1-2 hours to clay it properly and another hour of waxing. Fun fun.
On another subject, I would also like to add that these Neo Gens are the best tires I have ever driven on....ever.

drove up to Houston...for a luncheon at the company I interned with this summer, finally got some good news I was awarded a scholarship yay for slightly less debt, but anyways the friend that I worked with was just offered an interview tuesday and he set it for this morning but the company moved it to this afternoon and he likes to talk alot, so we had about 80minute drive without traffic. but the 20 minutes we spent stopped in traffic in Houston, the train blocking the fast route to campus, a bus that blocking the road letting people off, a construction zone with a flagger...we finally got to the interview only 15 minutes late. have to thank all the other people in a hurry, we did the majority of the span between houston and where I am in half an hour, its nice to not be the only person driving 80+ and still averaged 30mpg.

I installed my new Tein H-Techs in the rear but had to leave the front for a later date. Getting too damn cold out!! So I'm running progressive Falkens up front, and linear H-Techs in the rear. What a combo huh?!
I achieved record time installing them too. I got both rear sides done in 1 hr 15 mins. Not too bad .. I'm amazed how far my mechanical skills have gone since I first started messing with my P5.

Yea about that .. umm .. no thanks. In the P5 I can get away with not removing all the plastic panels and ****, but with a sedan I'm pretty sure there's no way around it. I hate plastic clips, pins, etc. cuz I always end up breaking them.

Yay! My car is officially NOT a write-off
I should have it back soon, winter tires and rims ready to go.
Now I have a few months to pick my new summer rims. Oh and insurance said they would cover the cost of 2 of my new rims.
2 Free Trak Lites?

I just got back from toronto (yes at 3am).. time for 3 or 4 hours of sleep and then up to finish up a major presentation tomorrow (presenting to my department at school and industry execs interested in funding the project yay).
meanwhile with my current tire rotation I have a wheel vibration like I've never felt before. Take a sine wave and composite another waveform on that.. it peaks every 2 seconds at 70mph.. I'll definitely need to rotate the tires again before I travel back to CT sometime this weekend.

This morning in the parking garage at work, I stopped at a stop sign, then made a sharp right-hand turn while accelerating moderately. When I hit the steering lock I heard a very loud bang--it was a little unnerving. I repeated the conditions a few times but nothing unusual happened. Everything else seems fine. I wonder what that was...?
