Constant noise or just while braking? I'd clean the metal guide things (not the ones the calipers slide on.. the ones the pads slide on), make sure the springs are all present and accounted for (am I the only one who always loses some??), then lube away :P

Changed a corner bulb last night...I didn't think my fingers were capable of maneuvering into a tight spot like that!

changed the oil this morning. was supposed to do transmission fluid as well but i gotta go get a socket, the vicegrips weren't working.

she also got hailed on a second ago....tornado nearby that apparently threw out hail. dont you love it when it rains ice in the summer, it's 73 and raining ice. wonderful.... hope i didnt get any dents.

Only 73? It's 85 here :P

and no hail

.. I really need to remember to buy some mazda oil filters and redline oil from onlinemazdaparts.com. It's been just over 3k miles since my last change (though I've put 4 quarts of oil in since my last change.. um yeah my car squirts oil out the PCV like crazy when in boost. I can drive 3k miles no problem no oil consumption as long as I don't go into boost. stupid millenia PCV was supposed to not do that.

Either that or I was supposed to use a restrictor fitting for the GT2554R after all

Anyone with an MSP know if there is a restrictor fitting on the oil inlet? Before I knew it was a ball bearing turbo I ordered a non-restricted fitting.. guess I could always e-mail Garrett and find out myself

i drove up to lowe's to get the stupid 23mm socket. idk if i'll be able to do it today or not. i loosened the top bolt but tightened it down (just wanted to make sure i could get it off). if i cant do it today i'll try tomorrow b4 work at 1230. i dont know how long it will take to cool down. it was like an 10 min drive 1 way and on highway for a sec so i doubt it will be cool enough

put your hand on the bottom of the transmission or on the black pan on the side of the transmission.. if it hurts, don't open it

that's how I always gauge it :P
