I'm still reading more on tires.. and from what I've read from a few sources, the SPT has less dry grip than my current Potenza RE750s.. which was a noticeable step down from the MX, which the Azenis are said to be decent improvment from

It may not produce the ultimate grip that the RE750s or even the P-O Nero’s have, but at almost half the price, it’s a deficiency most drivers won’t mind and fewer would even notice. In fact you could call the Kumho ECSTA is a great compromise that’s almost not a compromise at all.
I don't want a compromise tire. If I wanted a compromise I'd get all seasons :P

The soft sidewall I keep reading about would do wonders for my spine though haha

p.s. I saw my new blizzaks today and they look really mean .. dropping the wheels and old blizzaks off tomorrow.

I wish tirerack carried Falken, Hankook, or any real Toyos (they list Toyo but only carry OEM tires from them).. bah

It'd be nice to be able to cross shop the RT615, Hankook Z212 R-S2, etc on the same site

Not sure if http://www.discounttiredirect.com sells the tires you are looking for but they are having a sale until the 20th of this month. $100 off any set of 4 tires or wheels and $200 off a set of 4 tires and 4 wheels!!! Didn't know if you knew of this or not. I am seriously thinking of picking up another set even though I wont need tires until next fall at the earliest.

And missed you at the NEPOC meet....good times as always! Hope to see you at the next one or even at another East coast meet along the way.

I checked on their site.. they are 20 dollars more a tire than edgeracing.com and tirerack.com.

Plus I just bought tires on saturday (http://www.tirerack.com/images/tires...0_dir_1000.jpg)

I'm looking to purchase new summer tires in February.. to mount by mid-april >_<

Try East Coast Tire Co and TireShoppe.com. They hooked me up when I got the Kook Ventus' for the race car.

not only was it a landmark, but it actually contained useful information! I can hardly believe it! LOL

Today I continued to try to convince myself that I shouldn't turbo the pro. So far, I'm not doing a very good job lmao

I'd rather stab myself in the eye with a hot, salty french fry.

No doubt, the front sway is a bitch to install.

damn I was really hoping you'd like my prize :P

this morning at like 8:30 or 9 it was sunny, 75F, dry, and my car was beautifully clean. I put the tire carriers back on my stock wheels and snow tires and loaded them back into the car. I backed otu of my driveway, and as I got to the street it started raining. The shop is only 10-15 minutes away, so I figured I could make it without getting the car gross. wrong.

in typical rochester fashion, it quickly became a VERY heavy rain (heavy enough that.. no one is driving more than 20mph because you can't see anything, but the low intelligence locals of course leave their headlights off no matter how heavy the rain or how dark it gets)

now my car is dirty.

oh well at least I got some tim hortons hot apple cider on the way back

and I was reminded of why I love that shop.. they had me pull into a bay to unload the tires because of the downpour outside and yeah my car is totally a second class citizen in there.. there was an orange porsche 911 gt3 rs

holy crap.. I hadn't seen one in person before, only in pictures and on top gear. wow

wow

I want

but yeah the rest of the shop was just real race cars.. almost all BMW as it's a BMW-focused shop. It's definitely well worth the money to get stuff done there, even if it is just mounting really mushy snow tires
