What do you pay to insure it?

Hey, guys.
I live in the Detroit area, where there are millions of folks jamming the freeways every morning. On a clean record (no tickets and no accidents), with a $1000 deductible, I pay about $120.00 per month to insure my 03.5MY P5. I'm also a homeowner, and getting close to 30. I've shopped around, and even though I'm getting robbed, it could be worse. What do you guys pay to insure your 3rd gen Protege?

$135.00 a month. That will more then likely go up in August because I was in an accident.

Got everyone beat! $56 a month!

With very full coverage. bodily to others at $100k per person/$300K each accident; $50K per Property damage liability; $100k person/$300K incident on Uninsured motorist; $50K per uninsured property damage, $5000 medical as well as comprehensive and collision and $20 rental reimbursement and raodside assistance. My deductibles are $200 for uninsured motorist, $100 for comprehensive and $250 for collision. All of this at $380 for 6 months...but that's not all...there is about a $40 discount if I pay full for the six months and don't split it up by monthly payments, which is what I always do.

That's $340 for 6 months or about $56 a month. Granted I'm in my mid 40s, accident free and ticket free for numerous years. If anyone is curious, my insurance is with Progressive. Do you have them in your area? Well worth checking them out...they have a web-site too that you can get a free quote from.

I'm 23 and haven't gotten pulled over since I was 18 (that was the last time my dad let me take his black MX-6 LS out for a "spin" at 2am). I rent a place and am financing my 2003 P5 over five years, so I have full coverage, a $500 deductible, and my premium just dropped to about $500 every 6 months. Not bad, although I used to pay about that much every year to insure a '94 Accord. But that's what happens when the bank technically owns your car until that 60th month

~Adam

BTW I'm currently living in the middle of PA... would be much higher if I were still home in Philly

I've checked through progressive and I got a lower quote than what i'm paying now. The only thing that is keeping me from going with it is that i've heard of them raising your premiums by up to 40% after six months

I am at $160 a month, but that includes aftermarket coverage. If something was to happen to the car, they would pay full book value, plus an additional $5000 for my add on's, such as rims, exhaust, stero, graphics, etc. I can't remove the covered items if the car is totalled, but $5000 would be a nice starting point for another car. I had to provide the ins. co with every reciept I have on the car, and every 6 months they come out and take a pic of the car to make sure nothing has changed. It is worth paying a little extra each month to not get screwed if something was to ever happen, and since they know what is on the car, if it is wrecked, they will restore it to it's current state.

I pay around $150-180/month. But that is full coverage for the MP5 and liabilty on the Jeep. The Jeep is only like $50/month so do the math. I have State Farm Insurance, they suck IMO. The insurance just dropped like $20 a month because I have my home owners through them as well.

Have had insurance with Progressive for about 2 years yet with no price hike...hope it stays that way. They are very reasonable...my previous insurance company wanted to charge me extra for the 120+ miles I put on my car daily due to my job commute. Progressive didn't seem to care. I have right at 70K on my 3 year old car now.
