Hey bakchoi,

Got mine in Silver and it think its pretty classy, but it seems to be the most popular color.

Yellow - definitely makes a statement, but way too many in Vancouver and Richmond.

I never really considered it, but I just saw a red one at Jericho - and it looks damn hot.

I guess it depends on what kinda statement you want to make (if any at all)...

BTW, if you haven't purchased your car yet, I think I got a pretty good deal at Signature Mazda (1000$ off list price for Silver 5 spd, AC, moonroof and he gave me a free cargo mat).

I liked the black, but the blue matched my Mini better. The wife wanted yellow...I'm glad she didn't win, someone on the next street just got a yellow one.

Yellow, baby!

Yellow. Duh. It's the color chosen by Mazda to promote it and it's at the top of every page of this forum. And of course it has nothing to do with the fact that it's the color I chose.

BTW, I've received no less than four verbal compliments from complete strangers on the car since I bought it.

My wife wanted Yellow as well. Maybe they think it'll slow us down. I was ready to concede until (your all gonna laugh at this) I looked at the upholstery. The blue in the upholstery doesn't match the Yellow exterior!
I wanted Pure White, She hates white, very few cars look good in white but the Protege does.
So we settled on Midnight Blue. Now the exterior of my car matches my upholstery.
1. Pure White 2.Midnight Blue

Mine is Champagne Silver, it's an Aussie "Astina SP20" which is what you have as a P5.
Unusual colour even here, but I don't think you get them that colour?
We can't get a sunroof or leather here tho'.

Silver's the best. Who cares if there are tons of them on the street. I haven't seen one that looks like mine on the road yet.

Hey bakchoi,

I wasn't even aware that leather was available in Canada?

Regardless, 22K for AC, moonroof, auto, and leather sounds like a great deal.

I personally perfer the silver ones, which is what I bought, obviously. The good thing about living in Southern California is that I haven't seen many P5s around, and only one silver one (besides mine), so it's not quite as saturated with silver P5's as Canada seems to be.

I like the reflective tint with the silver P5, it looks cool, and seems like the car doesn't absorb much heat (reflects everything)!

Just go with whatever you like, you can't go wrong that way.
