First oil change. I figure if i use regular oil, I'll change it at 5k. If I use syn, I would probably get lazy and wait longer.
The Rhino ramps are great. The oil filter location is another story. I burnt my arm up in a few spots. Funny the oil filter i removed was bigger than the one I got from Mazdastuff. Both Mazda originals. I bought a cap wrench that fit perfectly on the one from Mazdastuff, but too small for the one that was on the car. Anyway it came off with just hand strength.
My car probably didn't need a change yet, but better safe than sorry. Anyone know why the filter is different. Both Mazda black. the small one is part no. B6Y1 14 302 9A. The larger one is G6YO 14 302 A. Almost forgot to mention about the cap wrench- it's Pennzoil code 00. Available at R&S Stauss and other auto stores. It will fit the B6Y1 14 302 9A .

I don't know the part numbers, but, if you want a larger oil filter (about twice as big), you can use the Mazda V6 filter. It will fit and give you a better filtering capacity. You might have gotten that one ...
