Is it worth it to spend the extra $$ on extended warranties?

The odds are against you, the reason a company will offer an extended warrenty is that they expect to not do more repairs than the cost of the warrenty. hence make money. My brother bought an extended for his prelude, he managed to fix a 200 dollar wheel bearing at the very end of the warrenty. Not a good investment at 1200 for the warrenty.
