Well north American drivers aren't actually worthy of those nice cars...... I mean sure there's lots of us that deserve one, but look at most of the drivers here, they all suck, and the slow limits......
who the hell can drive 30km/hr or 50km/hr and get in an accident, well we can. Make the driving tests 300% harder, and raise the speed limit by 20km/hr

And while on the subject of Mazda, there's a strong rumor that the delightful MP3 sedan (see our November cover story) is getting an engine upgrade. Mazda is reportedly working on a "hot" version of the car that should make at least 180 bhp. This "stage-two" version of the MP3 will probably be available in the marketplace sometime next year.
But where does it say turbo?

hehehe Stutter is defending his one-of-a-kind mp3, I bet all the mp3 owners are praying that they don't make anymore mp3s, while everybody else is praying that they do
it's all good, my lease on this one runs out in 3 years, then I pick if I keep it, or if I get the more powerful version which by all sounds of it is coming out..... TP4? Turbo Protege 4-door

Protege vs Matrix
I love the idea of a 180 hp Protege turbo or not!
I think Mazda could be trying to keep up with the new Toyota Matrix. Toyota has tuned one up to 180 hp and a 6-speed (I still wouldn't buy one) The thing that kills me is the Matrix all tuned up only does 16.6 sec in th 1/4...that's very lack-luster! My 130-ish hp 5-speed Protege could
muster that with a good flogging!
Is this the only mention of the 180 hp ver. in R&T so far...I will have to wait for some better info to believe...auto manufacurers are like politicians!
