Trip from Ottawa Can to florida and back.

Wow, the trip ~6000kms round trip went without a hitch. I never had a single issue and got up tp 700kms on 1 tank. 87 octane, auto, 1.6L 01 with Plat+4 plugs. Very impressed. I also bought that new mobil 15000mile interval oil as Mobil is trying to compete with Amsoil. Any pros and cons. I will keep some extra oil and change the filter half way at 12500kms (7500miles) But overall very good trip. I did notice I have some rust starting on inside of passenger door. I was thinking of just removing rust with sander and spraying some silver car match rust inhibitor paint. What do you guys and gals think?

i would not sand rust and just spray paint over it. you need a rust inhibitor like a primer or convertor and then you can paint over it.

What do I think? You are wasting your money on spark plugs.
Not bad mileage, though, depending on how low you actually ran that tank.
When I fill up, it's generally around 12.2-12.8 gallons, so that translates to about 34mpg.

I am sorry, but never had any problems with PLat4 and like the fact that I don't have to gap them. Even thou that is easy. The tips also do not get contaminated by my jissle fingers gapping!
