i had my deck and speakers installed on friday and now everytime i get in the car i get a welcome and goodbye shock not to mention as i drive my body hair is drawn to my seat and it's drivng me nuts. what can i do aboot this. i don't want one of those funny looking strips hanging off my bumper.....grrrr

It's probably not your deck. I get shocks from our car all the time and it has the stock deck. Must be static off the seats as 90&00 Protege says.

Grounding yourself is good advice BTW, I'll have to try that.

 

I've heard of some people spraying static guard on their seats and it seems to have helped with the static problem
