interior noise

Yeah, i notice that there's a lot of rattling going on inside the car, especially from the roof. The noise is louder in cold weather when the suspension and tires are stiff cold. It's quite annoying.

I have an impression that the plastic used in the interior is thin and so it vibrates when the car goes over uneven roads. If you have a moonroof, the ceiling is hollow and when you knock on it, u'll see how thin the material is.

I wonder what the dealer can do...

any solution to this squeaking? i find that the rubber around the edge of the moonroof glass is rubbing against the groove where the moonroof and body contacts.

i tried lubing it a little with wd40, but that dried up in a few days. does mazda have a special grease that doesn't dry up?

Yes, they do, i just read the post, sorry so late. I dont think they have it. But u could call your dealer and ask what they use. Its something silicon based i think.

Stop by a bike shop

There may be other solutions, but the bike shop thing's my gig, there's all sortsa high-tech lubes that're beyond parts-counter technology readily available at a bikeshop, (cyclists are lube-fiends) that'll work wonders. I'm not sure of the exact issue here, but something like a dry lube (Boeshield t-9) or Finishline dry, and if they have it, there's this stuff called Prolink that fuggin rules, bonds to friction... Anyway, any of these are liquid and similar to wd40 in that respect, but, unlike wd40 will dry to a slippery waxy-like state instead of just gooing up and collecting dust. If you need something with some more tenacity, then I suggest any form of lithium grease.
