Hmmm...not to be an ******* or anything, but hail storms usually occur in the middle of summer when the air above the storm clouds get so cold that it forms massive ***** of ice.

But either way, I don't think hail is common in Cali, is it?

hail happens sometimes in cali just not everywhere. i live right by the ocean so it happens when the planets align. its usually harmless little hail stones and a lot of them so its kinda fun

maybe in alabama you have hail storms in the summer. on the southern coast of california we might get a gentle minute amount of hail in the middle of winter. they are usually the size of peas and melt about 1 minute after hitting the ground. it doesn't get cold here and rarely gets real hot. it never snows. all we really get is sun rain and wind.
