I would recommend watching Circuit City's sales, you can usually get Infinity Reference Series for buy one set, get one set half off. This should put your total at about $150-180 for both sets, and I feel they're a much better speaker. I put these in my car about 2 weeks after getting it, and almost didn't put a sub in because they had such good bass response, although the mids and highs are great as well for the money.

Do you have the factory streo or are you using an after market head unit?
I was just wondering!

I put Kenwoods in, but not the "Official accessories" ones. I don't know what MazdaStuff is asking for the official ones, I paid about $69 for the 6x8's, and about $89 for the 6x9's at Best Buy. They dropped right in like they were made for the car, and it is a 300% improvement in the sound quality. The OEM "non-kenwoods" are horrid, and definitely the weak link in the sound system. When you get them out you'll see why. They weigh about 5 grams each, no magnet whatsoever. A "lowest bidder" item if I ever saw one.

I have the MSP audio swap in my p5 and while it's decent it deffinatly can't handle even the un-amped power from my alpine 40WX4 head unit. I also will scan the C.C. sale pages for some nice speakers...I used to have a friend that worked there but he called in sick one too many times!!

Ebay is a good place to find deals. I got a new pair of kenwood 6x8 3ways for $22 shipped! Crutchfeild sells them for $99. They are desinged for Mazda 6x8 openings, sez so on the box. Fit right in my p5 and sound good. The location of the speakers has a lot to do with the sound. Poor location in the p5, to low.

Circuit City has that sale on right now...Buy one set Inviniti speakers, get second set for half off. On another note, I replaced the front speakers in my P5 with 6.5" polk audio componets. Fantastic improvement! Bass responce was much better. Mounted the tweeters just behind the side mirrors.

yeah, Pro5's stereo is much crisper than mine...mine sounds muddled and the treble on Dave's is enough to give you a headache if you so desired!

How much are those infinities?? what size?

5X7, 6.5" or 5.25", 6x8....they all fit and have mounting holes for them....the stock speakers are 5X7.

Rear doors are 5.25", rear package tray is 6X9
