Simple straight forward question.

A yes or no will suffice and then if you want you can delete or lock this topic or whatever.

As is my understanding, the 1.8l in the 3rd gen pro is a destroked version of the F series 2.0l which i now in the p5, mazdaspeed, mp3 etc. correct??

Looking at the engine specs I would say yes. But I don't know.

If 7mm of stroke makes a 7-8 hp difference, I wonder what overboring does...

The FP is different in a few minor details- it has a different ignition system and a full-floating timing belt tensioner. But the basic answer is yes.
