Silver Center Console

Silver Center Console
My dealership seems to have trouble working without a VIN number, so I'm gonna come to you guys for help. Which models of the Protege come with the silver cupholder piece on the center console? I have seen it on various Protege5s and MSPs. If you have the silver piece, a VIN number would be appreciated, or a part number would work just as well. Thanks in advance for help.

Why not have them pull a VIN off of one of the cars on their lot? If they want your business, they'll do it. I am sure there are plenty of good dealers in Cincinnati that they are in competition with. It's pretty ridiculous that they need a VIN in the first place, since a trim piece like that probably won't show up when they run the VIN. This is what I would do. I would call a local salvage yard, and see if they have any wrecked P5s. It's going to be cheaper that way, and you won't have to wait for someone to place an order on your behalf. Good luck finding your part.

All Proteges/MSPs are long gone off the lot. Just so happens an MSP with the piece I need was sitting in the service dept.! Got the VIN and bam...part number for me. It is
BN5V 6434025
for anyone interested. Runs $77.70 but MazdaStuff and Mazdaformance charge $62 + shipping. I plan to call scrap yards before I pay so much for it. Thanks for the reply though!

Not true. I drove an MSP three days ago when I took my car in for service. They had two MSP's and 3 P5's on the lot brand new, and this is at the largest mazda dealership in alabama. The guy said that there was a shipping error and the cars were going out again in the next couple days, but they are still around.
