Question seat belt idiot~

Yeah so when I did my lowering springs I forgot to clip the seatbelts (sp) now they are stuck dang near the top of the mounting bracket. Any suggestions on how to get them back to normal?? I don't want to start just taking it apart and hope it works after I get the belts back to normal.

Let me make sure I understand the situation. Are the seat belts retracted far enough that you can't get them mounted back over the strut where they were? The retractor piece has to be held at a proper angle to allow the belt to pull out. I think this is done so that in a rollover accident the seat belts don't allow the occupants to fall out. Position it so that the belt is coming out straight and level (toward the front of the car), then tug a little teensie bit and it should allow you to unravel the belt.

The seat belts have an inertia lock inside the retractor. This is designed to lock when the car is in an accident. All seat belts are designed this way now. you may have noticed when driving at high speeds and then braking hard. Your belts will lock until you have slowed down enough that most of your forward momentum is gone. But it will also prevent the belts from loosening when upside down kansei.
