I was in Borders Book Store this afternoon and was looking through some auto mag's. I was reading a Road and Track or car & driver review magazine, which compared many cars in different categories. One was an eco/compact car review with 10 other cars in the $16,000 range. The Protégé LX (2.0) took first place there with great reviews in many areas.

There was a Box car/Wagon (small sport wagons) category, which included the Impreza, Vibe, Matrix, Protégé 5 and others. The Protégé 5 took first in this comparison, too. The only area it lacked top scores were in acceleration and gas mileage. It was an automatic version, which hurt acceleration, and the mileage is okay with the protégé family anyway.

It was nice to read this and made my day. Might have to go pick one up to give it a better reading.
