A Public Apology to Rishie

Folks This is a weird topic...might belong in "Off-Topic" but I wanted to launch it here where more people will read it. Sorry it's long but I have to do it.

I'm coming clean as a complete and total nitwit who offended a person who is a valuable resource to us all. Here's the deal. I ordered a Racing Beat Cat-back system for my P5. RB called me to inform me that they were back ordered until the end of September. Crusing the board I came across a post from Rishie at Automotive R&D saying that he had P5 racing Beat systems for sale at a good price right now! I corresponded with Rishie asking if they were new and not the ones off his car and he assured me the systems were new. I ordered it and Rishie shipped the very next day and I recieved the system three days later.

When I opened the box I was pretty upset. There were some scratches and a small ding on the muffler and the insides of the tubes were all greasy. THe resonator looked especially odd since down inside the tube there were these small slivers of shiny metal clinging to the tube. All in all it looked pretty bad to me.

I freaked out. Dashed off a nasty e-mail to Rishie accusing him of sending me used parts and also contacted Racing Beat detailing the problem. Rishie spent all of Wednesday night firing off e-mails to me asking me to calm down and stop accusing him of things until we figured out what was really going on. I basically told him he was a bad business man and other stupid things. He offered any number of solutions to the problem ranging from reducing the cost of the system I had to sending me a new one ASAP. He was unbelievably willing to deal with me and make sure he did not have a disatisfied customer.

Long story short, I finally got a hold of the guys at Racing Beat. They had explanations for everything except the ding on the can. The tiny metal slivers were not only not a bad sign, but in fact were the remnants of the steel wool that they use to scrub down the inside of the resonator. Racing Beat assured me that the system was just fine and that the scratches were most likely FedExes fault.

I just want to let all of you know about Rishie's integrity through this whole thing. I behaved VERY badly and yet he was willing to work with me in literally any way to solve this problem. If any of you are looking for any parts or services that Rishie can provide, please patronize Automotive R&D. Rishie is a valuable and trustworthy vendor and he's the kind of guy who deserves our business.

I'm sorry for the hassle Rishie you did nothing to deserve my behavior. I hope this is a start toward mending the wound.

Tom

Not often in my years of browsing forums and receiving lists in email have I ever seen such a straightforward and sincere apology posted after a misunderstanding..

Hats off to you Tex.. And I'm sure Rishie will appreciate it as much as we appreciate his resourcefulness and knowledge.

AAaaawwww.... *sob* that's sooo sweet.

I'm sure that the most important thing for Rishie here isn't so much the reputation (since we knew nothing about it), but more the fact that he has one more very satisfied customer. Even though we have thousands of different modes of advertising, plain old "word of mouth" is still the best.

Rishie, not only do you have another satisfied customer in Tex, but you've got at least one future customer here

I wish that more people were like this. In our socity today everybody blames the other guy. I see fighting on this very board all the time, name calling and such. We all are here for one purpose and that is to share information and enjoy others stories, and just to have a good time. My hat is off to TexP5 who can step back and admit he are wrong. I have made an *** out of myself on the board before, and am taking this as a learning experience.

Thanks

I secoond that

Rishie, not only do you have another satisfied customer in Tex, but you've got at least one future customer here
I had planned on ordering some things from R&D in the future but was concerned I could find the products cheaper. Sometimes you gotta pay for the service, too.

Good job, Tex. It takes a real man to admit he is wrong and apologize...... and it be sincere.

I really want the Autoexe stuff from R&D. Now, where did I plant that money tree???

HA, I'm not a native but I got here as fast as I could!

In yesterdays Houston news there was a "Road Rage" story. Guy's driving on the freeway, some knucklehead is tailgating and making gestures. Finally the tailgater pulls out to pass, drives alongside and starts shooting. This caused only slight problems for the first driver, who quickly pulled out his own gun and starete shooting back!!! True Story!

Texas, It's like a whole other country!

Well, just from reading rishie's posts, I can tell this guy knows what he is talking about, and is a darn good sales man! He has totally prooved to us all that he is the guy to order from if we are going to, atleast for the stuff he offers us. And what he doesnt carry, sometimes he can hook you up anyways.

So, after saying that, once i get a few of my various expenses payed off, I will be looking to buy a set of wheels for my Se-R, and eventually for my p5... and rishie will be who i buy these from, no question!

Thanks to Rishie!

Wow. I got wind of this from Greddy917. I had no idea this was here. I must say that you were totally forgiven before even creating this post, but this is icing on the cake. I have no ill feelings whatsoever nor did I. I knew that there was something missing from the picture.

I am glad that everything worked out and you truly are a good man. I thought you were gonna fly out to California and shoot me by the way the e-mails were. Phewww!!!

We try our best. We are a small operation and want to keep it that way so our quality of work and our niche, Mazdas, stay firm. I thank all the gentlemen who have posted such graciously kind words about us. I truly appreciate it and you're all going in my book of good graces. Even you Thomas. hehe.

thanks for the public apology. Really didn't have to go out of your way to do this, but I greatly appreciate it. You're so fully forgiven.

Thanks TK,

Rishie
