Exclamation the Protege ES or the P5

whats the cooler ride: The Protege ES or The Protege5

i have a 2003 black ES- i love and i think it looks tighter than the P5
i am also a bigger fan of Sedans so i am curious to people's reasons (with no disrespect cuz lets face it, all the protege's are too awesome)
thanks, vote away!

I like the 5, just cause it's kind of exciting and different.... I personaly wouldn't go for the sedan...but I like your ES too, don't get me wrong!

Here is all that I have to say ....

If you want the ability to move a bike or snowboard without compromising the rear passangers then get the P5

I was able to move most of the stuff in my last move.
And YES that means my LazyBoy recliner which just sliped right in when nobody thought that it would!!!

But they are both nice... So happy picking

The sedan.
It's lighter.
It's faster.
It's damn hell sexier.
It's like the wrx, or the lan evo, in that it has 4 drs. lol.
I love the sedan.
You have the sedan.
Be happy.
The P5 is for losers.
Haha, just kidding.
To each his own.
(Just between you and me, the sedan rocks the P5 anyday.)

I have 02' P5 and love the utility, my daughter plays Bass in the orchestra and I can actually put it in my car. Also not sure the sedan is actually lighter looking at the specs.

P5 - For me, the sedan wasn't even considered. It looks too plain IMHO. P5's resemble IS300 sportcross if you stand back a little.......well maybe from far....after dark

I owned a 01' ES2.0 for 18 months and then picked up a 03' Protege 5 in Jan this year. Think it is a sharp car and I see less on the road compared to the sedan. I do like the sedan and would not mind having one of those, too.

I am just very happy with my PR5 now......personal preference.

Cool pro5!

the pro5 is a nice hatchback...really cool looking car!
the sedan is not faster...car and driver rates both equally at 9.2sec-60 mph.
motor trend gives the pro5 8.8seconds/60mph.

I like the P5 better since I own one and when I got it there were much less on the road. Now in my area there are more P5 than ES. As well during the beginning of 2001 only the P5 had the 3 spoke steering wheel.

But I still like the P5 due to its storage praticality, stock bodykit and large foglights, and it's a wagon!

If they have the same transmission and the same engine then the the sedan is faster since it's lighter by about 80 pounds.
