hey man over the summer i totaled my 2001 Sunfire and realized i needed a new car. I spent about a month every day calling dealers and getting the price quotes. In florida at the time i could get a pretty low end civic for about 15000 including tax and tags. Then under dads suggestion i went to check out the MAzda Tribute, well wlalking iinto the showroom, i saw a 2001 Protege for the first time, i fell in love there and then, ahnd have loved my car ever since i got it, and my friends do too. It handles great and is very comftorable. Im 6-3 and i can ride comftorably in the back seats. Good luck shopping anddont pay too much

every body has a honda owning, when you have a pro you feel like you are part of a family the after market sucks but that will all change in time. I went out test drove evry thing from hondas to acuras toyotas and volks. i love the turning on the pro and the touque but gas is generally not a problem but the gas on a civic is better.....Be original dont be like every body who wants to leap into the import world and buy a civic. PLEASE!!!!!:

Thanks everybody who replied. I made a decision already. I'm going to get a Sunlight Silver Protege ES. I already told my parents about my decision and they're cool about it. My dad was especially happy because he used to have a 323 that was one of his favorite cars. When I get the car I'll post a pic.
