Unhappy Projector headlight conversion

Hey folks, ok here goes:

I'm driving a 2000 Mazda Protege DX. And I want to throw on some projector headlights. Now the problem is, I can only find conversion kits for the 2001 - 2003 models. Why is it that those won't work on the 1999 - 2000 models?

Now heres another question, I throw on like 50$ halogen bulbs into the car and it still doesn't make the headlights really stand out on the road. Would putting on Projector lights really fix that - or would i have to put on HID conversion?

I've been reading as much as I can on this stuff, but any info would be appreciated...thanks all

Dan

I do not know of any projectors available for the Protege. Some have tried to get them made but to my knowledge, a Protege-specific projector is not available.

I've got HID kits in stock for $225.00 shipped if you are in the lower 48. Very nice, high quality Techone kits.

Do you ship to Canada? Edmonton Alberta to be exact. I can pick up a kit here with 2 6000k bulbs for 449.00 + tax. But if I can get it shipped for less that would be swell.

Hey kargoboy, do you have pics of these HID kits?

Hey check out the group buy I posted first in the sale forum...You could probably save some money, since we've already got two buyers. Here's the info

Charles,

We’re very pleased to hear about your interest in a possible group buy! Enclosed below is the information you requested. Remember, these prices are the lowest available, well below our competitors, reserved only for large purchasers and group buys. Your fellow buyers should feel free to compare us to our competitors Xenon King, Xenon Depot and Xenon Pro. That will confirm that these prices are the best on the market today, with a product quality that is simply unmatched! While any of these companies can buy Philips capsules and ballasts, what they fail to tell the consumer is the quality of the parts you must add to these components to make them reliable HID lighting systems. Our state-of the art, Laser-guided balancing and alignment system guarantees the correct focal point for bulb fitment, giving our customers the optimal, crisp beam pattern that is signature of high-grade HID lighting. There’s always one customer who goes to our competitor, and installs their kit, and after spending 20 or 30 dollars more, they realize that their headlights pour light all over the street and windshield, forcing them back to their factory halogens. This is because of poor rebasing quality design and control, with a mistake of even a millimeter resulting in dim or misdirected light output. Because we take the time to align the bulbs in each of our kits, the result is a sharp light down onto the road, unlike our other main competitors who just buy parts and resale them with their name on the box.

The next part of our kits superiority is in our dual relay harness setup. Each bulb or side of the car, comes with its own individual ballast, connected by an independent relay harness with built-in fuse protection. Not only will this lengthen the life of your kit, but it keeps your auto manufacturer’s warranty intact, carefully integrating with your cars electrical wiring. Again, check our competitors – with no harness, if you blow a bulb, you also risk blowing your cars ECM, a costly repair.

Above all, saying all this without proof makes this just another marketing ploy. That’s why all our Philips kits are backed by an industry first – 5 YEAR COMPLETE REPLACEMENT WARRANTY. You won’t find that kind of customer support anywhere. We stand behind our products 100%.

When you add all this up, I’m sure you’ll see that HIDOUTLET.com is your only source for premium grade HID kits - for such a great price, and such a great warranty. We hope that you’ll give us the chance to show you what quality is all about! Below is the pricing for each of the available setups, with a bonus FREE SHIPPING for all your buyers over 10.
Prices are for: kit w/wiring harness / kit w/single relay harness / kit w/dual relays

Free Shipping and Insurance include for 10+!!! 5 year warranty included for all!

Please have the members of your group buy contact us by email if they have any questions aren’t resolved on the forum at info@hidoutlet.com. We wish you great luck and hope that this helps car enthusiasts everywhere get the best possible deals for their cars and themselves, enriching the automotive ownership experience altogether.

Sincerely,

Jerry

Funny enough, I went to JB's Power Centre. And the only HID kit they have is a Exsun Eagle HID kit.

I looked at it...its all plug and play, dunno if the brand is **** or not though, anyone have any experience with the things?
