For them to replicate the problem make sure they test drive it with you, damnd on in and they have no choice and make them turn on the lights and heater

Wow...This sounds like a problem that most likely will not be fixed by the dealer. If so many people are experiencing similar symptoms and dealers tend to turn their back on us, then we are in deep sh*t. I hate it when it comes to this. Hopefully there will be some sort of recall to get this problem fixed. I guess enough people need to complain and get these complaints registered with the dealers. Any other comments on this would be appriciated. Thanks for all your replies.

We have to do what we did over a year ago with the bushings and all talk to the same mazda customer service person.

I already told my story to Michelle extension 116 or something. I will find it for sure by Monday. Clearly explain the problem, symtoms and that you have taken it to dealers but they can't figure it out.

Slight update. Went to the dealer to schedule an appt for service next week. The guy that sits at the front desk at service agreed with me that the car is idling below normal levels but told me that the tech has the 'final' say. I think they gonna pull the 'performing within manufacturer specs' BS with me and tell me there isnt any problems. I have a feeling this will be thorn in my side, and as i can already tell, many other people are pretty much in a similar boat as me.

My wife's 98' Pro was doing this last year. I heard it could be a clogged fuel filter, so I changed it and the problem went away.
The mechanic told me that the fuel filter should be changed every 30k miles. Anyway, hope this helps.
