i like the idea of calling my car a wagon, its fun to say, people like my wagon better than your civic, or you just got beat by a wagon.

choices suck. what if i wanted to vote for both wagon and don't care?
i do think p5 looks more like a wagon but at the same time it doesn't make a difference to me what people call it. its not gonna make it faster if they call it a hatchback

By the way, I call it a hatchback.
By answering the question, you are giving a $%^& you dumb-$%^&!

Would you rather debate about the noise level or high RPMs at highway speeds, or maybe about the $%^&ing whistle or the cold start rattle! Those have been beaten to death with possible culprits and possible solutions of which even though the moderators have answered the question a million, no billion times and people still want to talk about it like the answers given weren't good enough...stick that in your $%^&ing pipe and and HAVE A NICE DAZE!

Thanks for sharing your feelings with us. Now find something more productive to do or argue about. This thread obviously has absolutely no value and should be closed.

If you don't like it so much, then don't return. That isn't hard to do. Obviuosly ppl are interested since it has a lot of replies. Why don't you show us how to make a thread with value.

hmm ... Familia SW?

SW = short wagon .. was that not the original Mazda terminology?
And then they came out with the Sport-20 edition and the A-Spec touring kit for the "sport" edition.

It's a 5-door compact car with the "soul of a sports car" .. :P

As long as it's not a "short bus" that's OK with me.

Haven't you noticed that 75% of all the threads on this forum are of no value? Have you seen "post your pic" thread, 918 posts of pure crap!?

I didn't know there was another board.
Is there a forum for the 30 and over crowd who don't understand or care to hear all the 20 and under jibberish?

Mazda 6 will come out with a 4-door hatchback and a wagon, much different shapes. Certainly a car that looks like a sedan or a coupe but has a hatch opening (former SAAB 900s and Mazda 6, and the 2 door integras) should be considered as "hatchbacks." It's tougher with the Golf, which really is so small it also seems to be a hatchback. There are tons of hatchbacks in Europe.

Compared to these cars, the P5 is more of a short wagon. IMO. But I can see how one would call it a hatch, if you equate it more to a Golf. If you equate it more with a Jetta wagon, focus wagon, or similar cars, maybe it's a wagon.

I'm going with:
"Prairie Schooner" - so definitely a "wagon"

wagon vs. hatch

I own both the ZX3 hatchback and the PR5 sport wagon and yes, I refer to the wagon as the 'short bus'
