All those with automatic I have a test for you.

Put the car in 2nd gear and accelerate hard. What RPM did did the tach go up to from stop before you started moving?

rpm

my friends 00 1.8l LX stopped at 6600, which dissapointed me a bit. my 01 2.0 5 spd lets me take her upto 7100. this is good cause the FS-ZE peaks a 7000 rpm so u can getaway with the stock ecu for a while

That's not what he's talking about.

He is talking about the time between 0 RPM [well, the idle RPM's] and when the car starts to move. It's like a delay.

The torque converter stall speed

STALL SPEED IS THE SPEED OF THE TORQUE CONVERTER IN THE TRANSMISSION BEFORE YOU START MOVING.

Mine gets up to 2200 RPM before the car starts moving, want to see others because I am not pleased, it seems pretty low as compared to my old car which was a 1996 SUNFIRE GT automatic which was around 2800 RPM.

Remember foot on the brake will still not raise the stall of TORQUE CONVERTER!

Mine is just about the same as yours, 2200 or so. Maybe just below that a bit.
not bad for the auto starting in second.. but that is just my opinion!

2200 is pretty normal. Put a B&M 2700rpm stall in my old 88' Mustang GT convertable with a transpack. Pretty intense! Load up the converter with your foot on the brake and @ 2700 the car would launch and it seemed like the whole car would twist!
Changing a torque converter on your stock P5 would be useless.

That is just flat out evil to have us auto. boys(and gals) put it in 2nd. If that was a race...my grandma in her wheelchair would've kicked my ****.
