i've been wandering about my overdrive, yes i know how it works, but i want to know if its bad to turn it off then turn it on....you know to get more speed or whateva when ur driving!?

turning off the overdrive to downshift into 3rd is perfectly fine.

as matter of fact, that's why they put that O/D off button conveniently under your thumb for quick 'n easy downshift for passing
