Ok...maybe i should explain?

Hmmmm, well it has been 7 days exactly now since i posted on my little "rampage".

At the time my brand new ES/GT had been in the shop for about 6 weeks....which is 2 weeks longer than they quoted me. I put over $10,000CDN damage on it.

This is the second time i have been in the shop, i was rear ended 45 minutes after i bought it. Thats right, less than 30kms on the engine and someone rear ended me. So it was in the shop for a week then.

I moved out on my own last July at the age of 18. I bought this new car, was rear ended and was running low on cash because of it all. So my mom invited me to come back home.

So i turned 19 a couple months ago and the car was all good and then because of past reasons they kept coming up my mom decided to say "get the **** out" one night.

So i moved back with my old roomates, watched my money (and dreams of what i want my car to be) dissapear, havent talked to anyone in my family for a couple months now, had the other accident, have been driving a POS courtesy car(to make it worse it is automatic) and had my accident become a running joke with apparently everyone where i work(there are over 1000 emplyees..not that i know them all, but this isnt the 10 people McDonalds we are talking about). So i hear about it everyday. To top it off i was in a bad mood.

I wouldnt have changed what i was posting about a week ago, i might have changed how i presented it. I still back myself up with every point i made. Maybe it could have been worded better.

Anyway, there you go!

P.S.: - Even though last week was 2 weeks longer than the shop told me it would be, i still dont have it, and they say it will be June 5th now....**trying to control rage**

No wonder you were so pissed before. But don't worry we, well at least I understand your position. Things will get better, trust me, because I had bad times some time ago. Things will naturally get better when you think them over and take affirmitive action, sleep is also a good way to forget things and pass time. Wish you the best in the future man.

Mazda, its cool....we all get pushed to the edge now and then and just explode.....what I see here is the mark of a mature person...coming back and explaining....its all cool. think nothing more about it.

and just remember...things will get better.....have no fear.

one little piece of advice though.....your family....try to talk to them....keep them in your life.....for there is no one like family.

Thanks guys.

leungwingkei...ya, i get about 12-14 hours of sleep a day, i drive the courtesy car to work and stay there for lunch then come home.

This works well for me not having any money and not liking to drive the courtesy car LOL!

I of course have my Gamecube fixes from now and then. It might be off the Forums topic, but has anyone got Resident Evil for Gamecube yet? IT RULES!

Wise words, do not hibernate in a room alone, it really makes things worse....get out, meet some new people, maybe even go to church if you don't now....the important thing is to socialize, get your butt back out into the world and begin to live.

As for your ride? well....like mazdanewbie said....its a thing, just that, they come and go. I dont' think anyone could love their cars more than I do.....but....there have been times. in Feb of 1994 I lost my car, totaled, and only had liability on it.....I was dodging a cow in the road, didn't hit it...but the car was a total loss. I had to have something to drive....I found and baught a little truck. It wasn't till December of last year that I could afford to go out and get another TOY for me to play with, that was one hell of a long dry spell for me, the longest I have ever experienced. There were just more important things in my life that required me to concentrate on, like my kids. That is just how it goes sometimes, but keep your chin up. It will get better.

It's good to see that spirit and camaraderie are alive and well on our Protege Owners Club forum!

MazdaSpeedRacer, think about it this way...things can only get better from here on out. Good luck and take it one day at a time.

Peace

Thanks Guys. I think i have slept like 24 hours in the last 2 days. There is just nothing i find i want to do.

I get my car back this week, and so i can start to save money again and build up a cushion(this stint with repairs/insurance has left me a little broke)

Once i get my car back i know i am going for a nice lesurly drive everyday. I get off work at 2pm and where i live there are city roads/country roads/mountain roads/roads along a lake all within 10 mins of my house...so i have some variety. I think that will take my mind off things.

Talked my friend down to selling me his Rockford Fosgate FNQ Component speakers for $400...so when i get an amp for them(the RMA on these babies is 100watts) and get them installed i think i am going to chill on the mods for a while. Ill have a nice sounding exaust and nice sounding music by then. What more do you need?

I figure performance on this car is pointless. CAI and Catback and Shortshifter are needs for any car for me. As for anything else...well i know my car will not be breaking the 15 second barrier anytime soon, i knew that when i bought it, i didnt buy it for speed as much style(interior rules over anything in the class). Ill be happy running 16's when i have the other mods done !

Anyway, thats my future life story LOL Im at work so i dont have much else to do.....
