oil filter

Now i now alot of you are going to laugh . I have never changed my own oil and am trying to now. Where the hell is the oil filter. Now in the manual first it shows the oil plug facing out and I found it pointing backwards . And it doesn't show the filter at all. And please understand I need simply terms . No big words .

To elaborate a little more, it is on the back side of the engine, just above the passenger side drive axle. BTW you will NEVER get it off without getting underneath the car- it is just about impossible to reach from the top.

Support the car safely (this means jackstands or ramps, not a tire changing jack!), crawl under the car and look up. It will be approximately 12" above the oil drain plug and slightly to your left.

Good luck
