no respect for p5

ARGH!!!

Why doesn't anybody respect my p5 on the highway?
Everybody's always trying to cut me off.

This morning I was going up the on ramp to the freeway.
Its a 2 lane on ramp and I have the left lane. This old lady
in a really nice GS 300 starts out behind me and to the right. Then for whatever reason decides she'd rather cut me off
then let off the gas and follow behind me onto the freeway.
So we get to the top and are side by side and she starts
moving into my lane. So I have to quickly look left to make
sure there isn't anyone in either of the 2 lanes and pull out
directly into the middle lane. Then she gives me the freakin
peace sign? and I was like . So we are driving
side by side and she speeds up to 90 and pulls in front of
me again! So now I'm totally pissed of and speed up and get
into the left lane and decide to and screw with her.
So then I got in front of her and went as slow as I could and
lock her into traffic. But I really wanted to drive her off the road!

but seriously why don't people respect the power of the p5?

Sounds like normal Orange County traffic to me.

Because, according to the reports on this and other Mazda forums, it doesn't have any. Power, that is.

But the p5 does have more zoom zoom than my jeep.

although I never got cut off that much driving my lifted jeep.
Maybe all the dents, scratches and big wheels scared them off?

hmm ... can you lift and armor a p5?

I dont think its your car, its the old bag who doesn't know how to drive. You get a lot more respect in a P5 than on a bike. trust me.

we have a rule in hawaii: the guy with the bigger arm hanging out the window has the right of way.

actually, that is more true than not, but my 5 still gets it's respect. actually, i think it's me and not the car, but once i leave my side of the island, the above stated rule kicks in.

oh yeah... let the samoan in the little datsun go first. cut off the little japanese guy in the honda, or the soccer mom in the suv, but if u see the old skool datsun (not nissan, datsun) or "beach" corolla coming up behind u, DON'T CUT THEM OFF! lol

yeah, she probably didn't know the pro got *****. or she just didn't care. or didn't take her meds (she was old, right?) hehe, j/k ppl

oh that reminds me I have to goto driving school for tailgating.
the funny thing is it was my normal following distance when in
rushhour traffic. I guess it looks bad when there are
only a few cars on the road.

Yeah, LA's pretty gnarley. Last time I went down there we were on the freeway, at 12AM, in bumper to bumper traffic going 85MPH.
Seriously, Bumper to Bumper At 85.
We're thinking "Geez, this is kinda sketchy", when we see a cop on a motorcycle, going 90MPH in between lanes, looking in peoples' laps for beer.
This is on like a tuesday night or something.
