Newbie just saying hi
I have been browsing around the site and just wanted to say hi. I am a current 2001 Focus ZX3 owner. I originally wanted a P5 but when I was looking to buy it was brand new and dealers didn't even want to talk deals. Sticker plus ADM only. So I got the ZX3. I love my ride but still drool evertime I see a P5 driving by. Hopefully within the next year I will trade in the Z for what I really wanted in the first place. I am a member of focaljet.com and a moderator at myzx3.com and really like talking cars and anything else. Hope you folks don't mind a domestic guy hanging out and seeing what's up and available for the P5.
BTW here is my ride as it appears as the featured ride on the Tenzo R website
Current mods: Eibach Pro springs/dampers, Tenzo Passion 5 17x7 with 215/45-17 Falken Ziex ZE-502. Borla Powerset catback, NR white face gauges, custom painted headlights, Focus Tuning rear wing, Focus R/S side skirts.

Welcome to the board Steve, there's plenty of domestic guys and girls hangin out here. I like what you've done with the ride so far, keep up the good work. Hang around, maybe you'll find out more about the p5 and want one sooner

Thanks for the welcome and the compliments. I have been browsing around the site trying to find all the answers to the basic questions so I don't have to ask. Found alot on the FAQ. Also been trying to get a feel for what is available in the aftermarket world for the P5. I'm actually thinking about going to the dealer this Wednesday to see what I can do. Might have a hard time because I am only a year into the Focus. I know I'll be upside down. If d/p is within reason I can probably sell alot off the Focus to cover it. I'll just have to see.

No rebates though. That would help me get out of the Focus.

Welcome to the board. The Focus was designed in Europe, so I don't ever consider it a domestic.

True but "German Engineering" doesn't seem to be a factor here.
