New Rims: Input Please

I finally decided to get rid of the stock rims and go with something more slick. I was browsing around and I found these rims which I can get for $500 a set because my friend works at Smitty's and they can order them for $125 a rim. Tell me what you guys think? I have a yellow P5, you can see it on www.cardomain.com/id/krayziefox so I was just looking for some input on these. Thanks!

I thought so too, but actually I just realized I put up the wrong picture. Those are 4 bolt rims, the ones I was looking at are these.

I think I like the first ones better to be honest...and what would be wrong with 18's ? Of course everyone is entitled to their own opinion....

Well...many things could be 'wrong' with 18s. I'll list a few things right off the top of my head:

price of 18s
price of 18" tires
size of tires vs. road conditions in your area (i.e. 35-series tires and really bad potholes = bent/damaged rims)
ride comfort is diminished (once again the sidewall DOES make a difference)
18s are usually heavier and therefore make a slow car even slower

and so on and so forth.

You just have to make an informed decision based upon your personal situation.

Well I definately agree on the 17 vs 18 issue. I am going to get the 17 inch because 18s are way too much for our panzy little cars, well at least mine is panzy. Cuz when I had my brother's 18 inch OZs on, those were way too heavy for it and also killed gas mileage by a significant amount. Well thanks for everyone's input on this, I'm glad a couple of you said they're awesome, cuz that reinforces my feelings as well.

Phantoms got it right...My Evo comes with 17s and I just got some new tires and they were at least 50-60 more expensive than the 16s on my P5. Performance wise 16s are the best all around tire IMO. With 16's I got more than enough room to lower my car and ride in comfort. But I am not going to lie when I go to car shows nothing looks better than big ol 18s with one coat of tire painted on.

Both rims look good. cant go wrong with either one.
